Overnight Camp: What to know!
This is Gabi Butler's FIRST EVER overnight cheer camp. Gabi has searched far and wide for the perfect location to host an overnight cheer camp with tons of activities and that sleep away camp vibe that so many love. Registration covers 8 meals starting with Dinner on the arrival date of August 2, breakfast, lunch and dinner on August 3 & 4, and breakfast on the departure date of August 5. There will be some amazing cheerleading instructors from all over cheer there to help your child work on their cheer skills while also enjoying activities such as swimming, field sports, zip lines, campfires and much more! Parents are responsible for transportation to and from camp as well as helping their child to check in. Once checked in, athletes will be assigned to cabins with other athletes in their age group and 2 camp counselors who will be chaperones for the group.

Where is this camp taking place?
This camp will be held at Barefoot Republic, a beautiful camp located in the heart of Kentucky. For more on the camp, visit: Barefoot REpublic Camp

Are there age or skill requirements for the camp?
The age requirement for the camp is 8 years of age or older as of June 1, 2024. There are no skill requirements for the camp. We will work with all skill levels and give instruction to help your athlete improve regardless of skill level

Can I request for my child to be with their friends?
Yes! The order form has a place for you to put who your camper might want to room with. We will make every effort to put children together who want to be in the same cabin.

How are cabins assigned?
Cabins will be divided up by age groups to keep the kids in an environment that is appropriate for them and to help them to be encouraged to enjoy their time while at camp!

Are parents allowed to come?
We have a select number of hotel style rooms available for parents that want to attend with their athletes. The rooms are an extra fee per person. If you are interested in upgrading your stay to allow for one or 2 parents to stay with the child, you must send an email to gabibutlerevents@gmail.com and we will provide you with more information on this upgrade. There are only 18 rooms available and these will be sold on a first come first serve basis, so get your request in early if you want to upgrade! Only parents paying for their stay in one of these rooms will be allowed to attend. All other parents will be required to exit the camp no later than 2:00 pm on Friday August 2 and return at 11:30 am on Monday August 5.

What if my child has food allergies?
If your athlete has any food allergies, make sure to add them during the registration process so that we can make sure to avoid any foods your child may be allergic to.

What should I bring?
Bedding (pillow, twin sized sheets, blanket and/or sleeping bag)
Sunscreen
Water Bottle

shorts
1 pair of long pants or jeans
underwear
Jacket or sweatshirt
socks
Cheer Shoes
Sneakers
Swimming suit (1 piece, trunks, or shorts & shirt)
Toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, deodorant, baby oil/lotion, etc.)
2 towels (1 for shower, 1 for the lake)

Optional Items to Bring:
Shower shoes (flip-flops or water shoes to wear in the shower and/or lake)
Journal
Hat
Flashlight
Laundry Bag

DO NOT BRING - Candy, snack or drinks (Food is provided at camp)

What will happen if my child is injured during the camp?
We will have a camp nurse on staff who can attend to minor injuries or campers that are not feeling well. If the child needs immediate medical attention, we will make sure the camper gets to the local hospital and the parent will be contacted immediately to inform them of the situation.
